ornament wreath

. . .

What? You haven’t made an ornament wreath yet? It was just the two of us, but now? It’s just you. You’re the only person left. You should probably make one.

There are tons of tutorials online. You know how to google, don’t you? I made mine with a wire wreath form (12 inch diameter), wrapped some gold garland around it, wired down some base ornaments, and then glue gunned the heck out of a crap-load of shatterproof ornaments. Seriously. There’s a lot of glue on that there wreath. You could also string ornaments on a wire hanger – just make sure you secure the metal cap to the ornament with your glue gun so the ornaments don’t break free. Does it get any easier than that?

It’s been very dreary here in Halifax for the past couple of days. But not at the Cat Farm. Look how sparkly that wreath is! I’ve got mine on the landing of the staircase that leads up to the second floor of the house. Not that 2.0 noticed. He walked by that huge, sparkly creation about a dozen times before I asked him if he liked the new ornament wreath. I could see his eyes darting around as he searched for it. You have to pass the wreath, by the way, in order to get to either of our bathrooms. And our bedroom. And you can see it from the kitchen. Which is where we were standing when I asked if he had seen the new ornament wreath.

I wonder if he’ll notice the paint job I’ve got planned for the rec-room/man-cave this week…

Wreath is GORGEOUS! Can’t understand the male brain not noticing lovely sparkling goodness. Now if you made one for me I would have one too and we could start a club. We could have ID cards and everything made out of cereal boxes. It would be awesome.
