ginger 2010 – house #5

The fifth entry for Ginger 2010 comes from Brittany, 2.0’s niece. She’s in grade 5. So that makes her… like… ten seventeen years old. I’m glad she’s getting into Ginger early, as I feel she’s going to be a fierce competitor. Brittany decided to build a village. Yup. A village. No rules, people!

Look at all those little houses. Aren’t they sweet? I like that each little cottage has it’s own distinctive style. Each villager must have contracted a different roofer, because no two are alike.

Look at the little candied lane-ways! Such a whimsical little town. The brightly coloured icing reminds me of Karen and Poppy’s entry. Blinding. I’m so proud.

Voting will start tomorrow. Are you getting excited? Only one more house to post…

This reminds me of a night out I had at University once, it was groovy. I have to say a whole village shows commitment and dedication to the ginger cause. I am living in a pit of shame as I only made gingerbread people and this young person made a ginger village. The future is safe in her hands.

The roof decorating is stellar. Do you think her parents would hire her out as a gingerbread building contractor? Because the walls are all magically standing with about a half-teaspoon of icing glue per house. If there’s any leftover icing maybe you could fly her up to seal the drafts in my house. That is, the one I live in.
