ginger 2011: let’s get judgy

. . .

First off, I’d like to say that I’m totally stoked that so many of you took time out of your busy schedules to compete in Ginger 2011. I’m not sure what that says about the quality of your lives, but whatevs.

So, here’s how the voting is going to work: there will be two rounds of voting today (Tuesday), and two tomorrow (Wednesday). I like to call these matches heats because it sounds very olympian. You will see the houses organized according to the date and time I received them. That means you’ll see them in the order that I did. I figured that was a random/fair way to group everyone. I hope you’ll squeal with delight just as I did…

Voting for Group 1 and Group 2 will take place today – votes must be cast by midnight Atlantic Standard Time (11 pm EST). The winner from each group will proceed to the final round of voting on Thursday, December 22. The voting will begin in a few hours, around noonish AST. That’s gunna give your mega fans about 12 hours to vote.

Voting for Group 3 and Group 4 competitors will take place on Wednesday, with polls closing at midnight AST (11 pm EST). The winner from each group will proceed to the final round on Thursday. Again, the voting will begin around noonish, which allows for about 12 hours of crazed vote casting.

The final round of voting will take place on Thursday, December 22nd. Four ginger masterpieces will compete for your votes. Voting will begin around noon AST. It will be badass ginger fun. Voting will be open until 9 am AST/8 am EST on Friday, December 23rd. That’s to give everyone extra time to promote the living crap out of their houses. The winner will announced that same day!

I encourage you to use any means possible to win. Email yer family. Blog it. Tweet it. Facebook it. All’s fair in love and war. Remember, it’s not necessarily the best house that wins, people. It’s a freakin’ popularity contest. You know, like high school. So, quit cryin’, and get your ass on a cheer squad.

And that’s how we do festive here at the Cat Farm. Let the smack down begin!

  1. Whenever I have to tell my kids “no” about something and they get mad at me, I always tell them “I’m not out to win a popularity contest here”. But now I am out to win a popularity contest!

Making a sub par Ginger but still having a shot a winning is so cool! Thanks, Mo.

  2. This is exciting (yeah, yeah, I have a dull life – but busy, otherwise I would have entered this contest… next year…)! I want to take a bite out of the photo of the house you have on this post.

And look at how you made this all Christmas-y, with snow falling over this page (or do I need to see my optometrist?)!! I’ve been reading your posts in my email for the past few postings – no snow falls in my email, though.
