Holy crap, I thought I was crazy, it is good to know I am only partially crazy – lol. To answer your questions about Savannah – No tuxedos, it is way too hot here in Savannah especially in the summer. Around Christmastime they do make an appearance (rarely, but there still are some black-tie events). There is always a lot of booze flowing (that is a completely accurate) we are one of the few cities that allow an open container (meaning you can take your beverage with you). It have been 25+ years since “The Book” was published, I can say I don’t get nearly as many questions about “The Book” as I once did. Did he kill Danny Hansford? Yes, he did. Was it self-defense? I think it was, I have met several people over the years who knew both of them (one was crossed the police tape to make sure Jim was okay) and speaking with them, I do think he was shot in self-defense. Working in hospitality in this amazing city I can say it definitely has changed, it is still very charming place to visit.
