ginger 2010 – house #6
The final house is mine.
A modest mint-stone cottage.
Sour belt roof. Blue raspberry detailing. Good enough to eat.
If only you hadn’t already consumed your body weight in royal icing and candy bits.

Damn it! Sour belt roof > sour belt doormat. And a tone-on-tone colour scheme and freestanding fence too.
Gorgeous. I would NOT want to be an official judge in this competition!

Hmmm…I’m sensing a trend in the Beaucoup sisters’ designs. Did anyone else notice that they are the only two entries in which every single gingery inch of house and surroundings is covered with candy and icing? Although they are both gorgeous, and look delectable, I’m wondering if this says anything about the inferior quality of the gingerbread itself…maybe they used cardboard/old cereal boxes/lego houses? Hmmmm….
We have learned that the judges traditionally favour loads of candy. Loads of it. Of course, that doesn’t seem to be the case with the judges this year… Also, we really like candy.
Your house is utterly marvelous, I am intimidated by your use of blue glitter to make a path, that is art.
Not just glitter… candy sprinkles. That’s right. You can EAT the path.
