Congrats, Kate and Jo-Anne! Your house took almost 41% of the vote. I officially declare you winners of Ginger 2010.

Don’t worry that you beat out my sister, Hadley, who got 23% of the vote, and frankly, doesn’t have much else to live for. She’ll probably get over it.

house #4 – kate and jo-anne

It truly is a beauty.

Thanks to all of you who entered – the houses were inspired and I’m already looking forward to next year’s competition. Obviously, I’ll have to step up my game.

What? You want to know who I voted for? Because I’m your idol? Whelp, I voted for Claire’s house. A lot of people I spoke with felt her house was “whimsical,” and I agree.

house #2 – claire

So, I hope to see even more of your houses next year. Maybe Claire will even manage to work a log pile into a photo…

Psssst… there’s going to be a prize next year. Isn’t that exciting? So, you might want to start planning now. (Don’t plan too hard or anything. I’m not giving away a frickin’ car.)

Congrats, ladies! I’m not over it yet, so stick together and no dark alleys.
